START SYSTEM: SOL
Missions - Act 1
After the collapse of United World Council (UWC), chaos reigned in the universe. There were wars all around the universe. Bigger colonies tried to invade smaller empires to beat them into submission. Small budding colonies tried to hide themselves from the gaze of these ambitious empires. The wars between empires continued, throwing the universe in unceasing disarray. The end is nowhere to be seen.
In the outer territories of the Terran, small colonies abide. It is in one of these colonies that your ship crashed. Badly injured, your last host is slowly dying. You can feel the red blood seeping from it's wound as you are lying in the cockpit. Just as you feel that your death is imminent, you hear a noise. Some figures appear before your dimmed vision. Smiling secretly, this is not the end of you yet.
Soon, one by one the inhabitants of this small colony are infected by you. The number doubles by the second. Within a few days, one entire system is under your control. This is the start of your new empire.
Missions: Act 1 > Mission 1
Background
Overlooking the small colony, you can still remember clearly the day before your own empire fell into the hands of the hated invaders. A few empires, including the Terran, Guardian and Aspha Miners, banded together to attack you. Their combined might proved too much and you flee on a ship. A shot tore through your ship as you managed to activate the hyperdrive system and half the crew is dead. Reluctant to delve into the past, you turn your mind to your colonies. Though they are small, you deem them sufficient for a start. From your experience, first, you will need to have a steady income for your new government.
Having infected a Terran, you know that the easiest way to increase your income is through commercial infrastructure. Hence, you decide to assign your planets to Commerce.
Objective
You are required to assign planets to commercial duties.
Obtain Commerce income of $ 500 per turn.
Step by Step guide
Go to Manage Empire > Economy > Manage Planets
Click on Assign Planets and type 450 units in Commercial and click the `Assign Duties` button almost directly under number box where you will type the number of buildings.
Your Commerce income will have increased after this. You can observe your commerce income by looking at the Income area in Manage Planets.
Tip
Free Planets are planets which have not been assigned and which appear in red text.
Each unit of commercial production earns $4 credits in commercial tax income. To find out on income details, click on Details button (in grey) next to Income.
Mission 1 : The First Step
Commerce income has increased. Now, your new empire can start to embark upon the journey in becoming one of the greatest empires.
As a reminder, you have infected a Terran colony. Commerce is Terran's primary income.
New feature available!
Manage Empire > Science > Research
Manage Empire > Science > Research > Infrastructure research
Now, you can upgrade your infrastructure technology via researching. Your commercial planets will generate 10% more income for each level of upgrade.
Missions: Act 1 > Mission 2
Background
Next, you gather the Viral together and select a few intelligent ones to be your advisors. Among them are Rivul and Phinehas. Both are regarded as highly intelligent and possess strong will.
For a moment they remind you of your old friends who gave up their lives to protect you. Images of the fight flashed through your mind. You feel a sadness building up inside you. Only years of training to control other hosts enabled you to suppress the feeling. Terrans have always been emotionally weak, you decide. But you know well why you experienced this feeling. Among those you have lost, many have started your old empire with you. You have even fought back to back with them against your enemies more than once.
Turning your mind back to your new advisors, you are content to have them train while you meet the basic needs of your empire for the time being. You know that when your empire has expanded enough, you will need their help to govern. Now, you decide to upgrade the infrastructure so that you can increase the income of your empire. With a better income, you can soon go and infect more colonies.
Objective
Obtain 5 levels in Commercial Infrastructure Research.
Step by Step guide
To perform this goes to
Manage Empire > Science > Research > Infrastructure > Commercial
Then enter the number of turns you wish to spend on it and keep researching until you reach level 5.
Tip
The more commercial levels you have, the higher your commerce income will be. The number of turns required will go up each time your empire completes an infrastructure research.
Mission 2 : Commercial Upgrade
With the improved technology, your Commercial income increases. Now that the income of your empire has increased, you decide your empire is now able to handle several new features. These features will help you to expand your new empire.
You received +5000 Strafez Organism!
New feature available!
Manage Empire > Military
Manage Empire > Military > Fleet
Manage Empire > Military > Fleet > Shipyard
Manage Empire > Military > Fleet > Explore
These new features allow you to construct ships: a basic fighter class ship and a scout class. Scouts are used to explore for new planets. The “Explore” feature is also available, so you can send scouts to find new planets.
Tip
When you perform any task, the number of turns you have stored decreases. Usually, when turns are used, your empire's credits, food, ore, and other things increase. This is because planets that you assigned to commerce are paying taxes on their activities; planets that you have assigned to agriculture are planting and harvesting crops; and so on. All this activity takes place in addition to whatever you tell your government workers to concentrate on.
With sufficient income you can finish assigning commercial duties to all your remaining free planets. Doing this will further increase your income.
If you ever made a mistake remember that you can restart your empire at any time by going to Options > Restart
Missions: Act 1 > Mission 3
Background
Your advisors are doing fine so far. As a part of the training, you order some scouts to be built. Bringing the new advisors and some militia with you, you lead the exploration team to bring the nearby colonies under your care.
This is the first lesson in expanding your empire. There are a few ways to increase the planets that are under your empire. The easiest way is through exploration. It is a non-hostile way of gaining new planets for your empire.
For a Viral, it is particularly important to gain planets so that you can have new hosts to occupy when your old host is dying. If you cannot find a suitable host in time, you can die. When there is a steady inflow of new hosts, you can practically live forever as you continue to jump from host to host.
Objective
Explore for 500 new planets
Have a total of 1500 planets
Step by Step guide
First build some ships by
Manage Empire > Military > Shipyard > s. Kohoutek (Scout) > Build ships
Then explore by
Manage Empire > Military > Explore > Enter turns
Warning
For future reference, your empire may explore any time as long as its total number of planets is under 70,000. For now, however, DO NOT try to get more than 1,600 planets. If your empire’s Power Rating (Pr) exceeds 5,000, it can be attacked by empires as strong as 2.5 times your empire’s Pr. Currently, your empire has neither the technology nor the resources to defend against an attack or to mount an effective retaliatory strike.
Always disband all your Scouts after you explore by going to
Manage Empire > Military > Fleet > Enter amount to disband then click on disband
Also check your income by clicking on `Income`, ensure that you have enough credit reserve to maintain your fleet.
Do not deplete or finish your credit reserves. If your credit reserves is depleted you will go into debt. Going into debt is something which you must never do or your empire may go bankrupt and you will have to restart again.
Mission 3 : Exploration Training
Your advisors are learning fast. Just as your ships land on one of the planets, the inhabitants are soon embraced by your advisors. Within the hour, the whole colony is already infected. There are now more features available to you.
New feature available!
Research > Technology
You are now able to conduct research to develop new ships, projects and other technological advancements
As a Reminder
All empires with Pr (Power Rating) below 5,000 will be under protection. Exploring for new planets will increase your Pr. Each new planet will increase your Pr by 50 points. If your Pr goes above the 5,000 Pr mark, other empires can attack you; therefore, try to remain under 5,000 Pr until your empire has researched more powerful ships and until you are ready to start attacking. Also remember that ships cost much money to maintain, and ships also increase your Pr.
Also any system with less than 2,000 planets risks being destroyed if attacked.
Continue
Missions: Act 1 > Mission 4
Background
You are pleased with the progress your empire is making. Meanwhile, your advisors have almost completed their training. As a test, you let them discuss and come up with a plan on the next step.
After conferring among themselves, they come to you and show you their plan. With so many colonies under your rule, they suggest to you to build up a cash reserve. Their reasoning is that with the expansion of your empire, you should have a cash reserve in case of emergency. That is a pleasant surprise for you have the exact thought. Bankruptcy is the last thing you want to happen to your new empire. Smiling to yourself, you tell your advisors to carry on with their plan.
Objective
Obtain 100,000 credits.
Step by Step guide
Assign all free planets to Commerce to increase your commerce income.
Time in the game stands still if you don’t do anything, and in this game there is always something that needs to be done. The best way to accomplish this mission is to spend time increasing your commercial infrastructure by research or your Technology research. Remember that you are trying for a total of 100,000 credits NOT a per turn income of 100,000 credits.
Warning
You could spend some of the turns exploring, but if you do, try not to explore beyond the 2000 planets, as you are still not yet ready to defend your empire.
Mission 4 : Assessment
You are proud with your advisors' efforts. Their achievement convinces you that they are learning fast and able to handle themselves well. With this knowledge in mind, you decide to introduce a place where all the empires trade. You can make money by selling resources. You can also buy the resources that you need from the market.
New feature available!
Manage Empire > Economy > Market
The Intergalactic Market is a place where you can buy and sell resources from food to minerals. Minerals are used to build certain types of ships.
Missions: Act 1 > Mission 5
Background
Your thought is disrupted as the meeting start. You are about to bring up the plan to build your military forces when Phinehas, your advisor who is currently in charge of the welfare of your hosts, stands up and informs you that the food storage is almost depleted. If there is no food coming in soon, your population might go on a strike. He says that this matter requires immediate attention. Although this will mean a delay in your plan, you agree with him. An angry population is very hard to deal with. This is because the hosts cannot survive for long without consuming food. Hence, you put your plan on hold. You decide while you are at it to make sure that the food is enough to last a long time.
Objective
Obtain 12,000 units of food
Step by Step Guide
There are 2 ways to complete this mission.
The easy way out is to buy some food from the market.
Manage Empire > Economy > Market > Food
Type 12000 in the units to buy box, and click the Buy button.
Note that this game provides commas to make long numbers easier to read. Players cannot include commas in numeric input.
The other way is to grow food yourself. You will have to grow your own food if the market has none or if the market’s food is too expensive. Of course, growing food will help make your empire more self-sufficient, and you can always put surplus food on the market.
Manage Empire > Economy > Manage Planets > Assign Planet> Assign some Agriculture (suggest 200 planets)
If you do not have enough free planets then you can free up some planets by
Manage Empire > Economy > Manage Planets > Free up Planets > Free up some planets (suggest 200 planets)
Tip
If there is no food on the market, you can ask other players online to put some food up for sale if you do not want to grow it yourself. Remember to talk to other players to determine when any market commodity is priced too high so that you will not overpay for it.
Mission 5 : Feeding the host
Phinehas addresses the council and say that there is sufficient food to feed the host. You have sufficient food to last for a long time. Your people are happy that now they will not have to fear the prospect that their hosts will be dying of hunger.
New feature available!
Housing*
You can now build more housing and increase the total population of your empire. Although population may be annoying at times, you can’t do without them. For Viral empires, population is not that important in the beginning because Viral empires gain more income from taxes on commerce than they get from taxes on population. However, later on in the game (around Act 2 or 3), you may wish to increase empire’s your population. The total of your empire’s population and the population of all your vassals determine your empire level. You can use more powerful projects and features according to your empire level.
Manage Empire > Economy > Manage Planets > Population
To increase your empire’s population, your empire needs to attract new people by holding residency campaigns to encourage immigrants to reside in your empire.
New Demand
Your hosts now need food to survive. Ensure you have food to feed your hosts. If your population doesn’t get enough food from now on, income from all your planets is reduced by 80%!
Your population now accepts Consumer Goods or Goods. Your population will pay $5 for each unit of Consumer Goods you deliver to them. There is no negative impact on your empire if you fail to provide Consumer Goods. You can buy Consumer Goods from the market at $4 and earn $1 income.
Sometimes, you may find Consumer Goods for $2 or $3 per unit. This is a very rare event, but your people do not care what price you paid for Goods; they still pay you $5 per unit!
Missions: Act 1 > Mission 6
Background
You decide the time is ripe for you to reveal your military plan. First of all, you must have a standing army so that you are able to deal with any attack should a hostile force come your way. Hence, you must have a large population for you to recruit soldiers from.
Objective
Have 100 Population.
Step by Step guide
First you need to build more housing by
Economy > Assign Planets > Increase housing to 10
If you don’t have enough free planets, free up planets by
Economy > Free Planets > Choose some planets to be freed
Then increase your population by
Economy > Population > Enter turns until your population grows to 100
Warning
Always have sufficient food to support your population. If you do not have enough food to support your population you will give 80% less income.
If you wish, you can explore for additional new planets. If you are coming out of protection ensure that you have some form of defense ready.
You can remove your population by clicking `Reduce Population`
Loyalty of your hosts drops slightly as your population grows.
Mission 6 : Military plan
With the increase of the population, you start recruiting the young to join your army. You have readied a new military training facility for your first army. Soon, your army will be ready to defend your empire.
New feature available !
Manage Empire > Military > Rank
Your scientists have developed a new communication systems which enables your military to determine how powerful all other empires are. This will be a useful feature later on as you will have to know how powerful (rated in Pr) other empires are, so you will know who to attack.
Missions: Act 1 > Mission 7
Background
Suddenly, the alarm rang. You quickly climb out of your bed and rush to your observation room. Your ministers are already there and they start to brief you on the situation as soon as you arrive. You can see the fierce battles commencing on the screen. One by one your ships are down, but there seems to be no lessening to the enemy's rank. To your horror, you discover that there is a much larger fleet approaching from behind. Your forces have merely been fighting the first wave. Seeing the number of battleships and destroyers approaching, you know that you have already lost. Your ministers urge you to leave with the newly-constructed ships hidden inside the building. They are equipped with the latest technology and they are sure that you can outrun them. Firmly, you refuse unless they agree to go with you. The rest happen in a blur. You remember boarding a ship and launch off. It looks like the enemy ships are too busy engaging with your forces to notice you. Just when you think it is safe, your small fleet runs straight into an ambush.
Your enemies have been anticipating the escape and laid an ambush. Just about all is lost, a ship to the right of yours suddenly sped ahead as if to ram the enemy's command ship. The screen in front of you flashes on to show your best friend, General Spike. He tells you to use the hyperdrive system to escape after his ship creates an opening for you. Then, he smiles and bids you farewell. As the screen flicker off, you scream, "NOOOOOOOOOO!!!"
You are still screaming when you realize that you are sitting on your bed, bathing in cold sweat. It is just a dream. But to relive the experience has hurt you deeply. Now that no one is around, you let the tears flow freely. Silently you curse the Terran's ability to dream. You swear you will find a better host soon. Terran has proved to be a very troublesome host with the emotional outbreaks it often experiences.
The next day, you can see your soldiers are training hard under Rivul. You have personally trained him and provided him with all the military knowledge you have. Sometimes, you see him studying military books on his own. Reviewing your troops below, you know it is time for the next phase. What you need now is a large amount of credits to build your fleet. Remembering the dream, you vow to personally infect the mastermind behind the attack on your old nation. And this time, you will be very well prepared.
Objective
Obtain 500,000 credits.
Reminder
Credits can be increased by
1. Increasing the number of Commercial planets
2. Increasing the Commercial research
3. Increasing the number of Housing planets (Max Population)
4. Increasing the Housing research (Max Population)
5. Selling resources on the market
Warning
If you wish to sell resources on the market, ensure that you have sufficient resources. For example don’t sell all your food until your population starves and then you may have to buy back from the market at a higher price.
Tip
Try spending some time researching as time will pass by and your credit reserves will grow.
Also try to disband all ships (if you are under 5,000 Pr) so you will not have to pay for your ship upkeep therefore will have more income
Mission 7 : Funds for your military
Finally, you have saved enough to build up a fleet for your empire. Offensive military features are now available and you've learned more about how to do battle.
New feature available!
Manage Empire > Military > Intel
Intel or intelligence collects and shows you the information for a specified empire. This includes information such as how powerful this empire is, which federation (Clan) this empire belongs to, and their statistics. These statistics can give you an idea of how experienced the player running the empire is.
Manage Empire > Military > Battle Records
This feature allows you to check all your previous battles
Manage Empire > Military > Fleet > Attack
If you wish to launch a military campaign you need to use this feature. You can launch raids or invasions on other empires.
Manage Empire > Military > Fleet > Outpost
You can assign ships to Outpost if your empire belongs to a Federation (Clan) or if you have a Lord. All ships in your Outpost will be sent to help repel attacks on your federation member or Lord. Note that ships here will not be able to assist you if you are under attack yourself.
Tips
Being a Viral, the best capability you have is you're able to capture ships from over races / empires for your own use or reverse engineer them so you can build them later on.
However, the amount of information can be sustained for each race is somehow restrained. This limits you to reverse engineering 3 ships per race in the universe. To do this you have to use the V. Borrelly or V. Chiron. They are both with capturing capability.
You cannot capture ships from Collectives, Kalzul and D. Marauder. This is because they are of a more complex species which you cannot digest.
Missions: Act 1 > Mission 8
Background
Everything is soon ready for you. You must start to construct a fleet of ships to increase the security of your young empire. As a simple life form, you understand the primitive instinct to survive. With a strong force behind you, you can lead your fellow Viral to go and take over other empires. There are other races out there that are much stronger than Terran, waiting for you to infect. You remember seeing Guardian ships during the invasion. Hence, the Guardians must have come back. You are especially interested as you have not seen any Guardian around before. You only learn about them through the memories of your former hosts. You wonder why they are involved in the attack. If only you can infect them.
Power Rating (Pr) shows how strong an empire is. Military force and number of planets determine an empire’s Pr. The easiest way to increase your empire’s Pr is to build ships. Be aware of the fact that different ships perform differently and thus add different amounts of points to your empire’s Pr for each ship built. This will be extremely important when you have to decide what ships you need to build to start attacking other empires.
You may wish to test out building different combinations of ships to see how they perform. You can also talk with other players regarding ship combination (called stacking).
Objective
Have 25,000 Pr
Warning
The higher the Pr you are, the more powerful your neighbors are. Also expect them to be hostile.
Tip
You can temporarily increase your Pr by building more ships than you can maintain causing you to have a negative income. Ensure you have sufficient credit reserves before attempting this, if you run out of credits you will go into debt and may risk making your empire bankrupt. If your empire can't pay off the debt then you will have to restart (Option > Restart).
You can also push up your Pr by exploring for new planets. Planets will increase your Pr considerably but comes along with the risk of getting attacked or killed. Make sure you disband all your fleet and you should drop into newbie protection after losing sufficient amount of planets. You risk getting your empire killed if you have a large fleet with a very small number of planets. Once your empire has been killed off, you will have to restart by Options > Restart
Mission 8 : A new fleet
Your empire is now capable of defending against any incoming attack. However, you soon discover that your populace is afraid with the rumors of war in the air.
New feature available!
Manage Empire > Economy > Manage Planet > Reward
You can increase the loyalty of your population. If your citizens’ loyalty is too low then your empire’s citizens may be subjected to sabotage or revolts.
Manage Empire > Economy > Manage Planet > Mine
Some ships require rare minerals to build. At times, these minerals can be very costly. Mining allows you to mine for minerals to use.
Missions: Act 1 > Mission 9
Background
Your last ship has finally been completed. Though they are much smaller compared to your last, they are enough for your new empire. They are sufficient to provide defense should there be any attack. There has been a growing feeling inside you. It is a native feeling and nothing generated by your Terran body. You hunger for a new host. Turning to Rivul, now the General of your army, you signal to him to board the ship with you and lead the expedition. You have given him the mission to bring about two thousand planets under your empire. With that, there will be enough new hosts for every Viral in your empire.
How big an empire is determined by the total number of planets that are under that empire’s control. There are 2 ways in which you can increase the number of planets, by the more passive way of exploration or the hostile way of invading other empires.
Objective
Obtain 2,000 planets.
Tip
The difficulty of finding new planets grows according to the total number of planets you have. Initially it may be easy to explore for new planets however later on in the game you will be required to invade other empires to increase your planets.
Make sure you disband all your fleet and you should drop into newbie protection after losing sufficient amount of planets. You risk getting your empire killed if you have a large fleet with a very small number of planets. Once your empire has been killed off, you will have to restart.
Mission 9 : Hunting new hosts
The expedition is a success! With the amount of new hosts available, there will be enough for each Viral within your empire. As there are new planets in your empire, remember always to assign all your free planets to duties as soon as you acquire them. Each turn a planet of your empire remains idle, your empire forfeits the income or goods or food the planet could have produced in that turn.
New feature available!
Manage Empire > Diplomacy > Federation (Clan)
This feature allows you to join a Federation. Once you join a federation you will be part of that family. Members of a federation can’t attack one another, but can offer assistance in terms of resources as well as reinforcements for defense. Choose a federation carefully as not all federations are active.
Missions: Act 1 > Mission 10
Background
You are very pleased with General Rivul's achievement. Although at times he is harsh with his soldiers, you know that he will be a good general. Moreover, he is very loyal to you. With each day passing, you find that he resembles your best friend, General Spike more and more. The only fault you have with him is he loves to torture the mind of his host. This results in his ever-changing host. On the other hand, you have elected Phinehas to be your Chief Minister. He is well-loved by the Viral for he is just and fair. You find that he is a gifted administrator. He always takes time to listen and think before making a decision. With these two able advisors by your side, you can start planning your revenge.
As for now, you will need a larger fleet to defend your empire for other nations will start to take notice of you. You decide to gather a large amount of credit in your treasury. Your government can then draw money from there should they need anything. With the large amount of credits, you can soon build a bigger force.
Objective
Obtain $ 5,000,000 (5 Million)
Mission 10 : Credit reserve
With the funds inside your treasury, you can soon get ready for a bigger fleet. You are sure now that your empire will soon be strong enough for revenge.
New feature available!
Manage Planet > Create New System
You can now create new systems. It costs planets to create new systems; however, certain types of systems perform better at certain things compared to others. For example, planets assigned to Commerce in a Capital system yield twice the income that same number of planets would have produced in a Sol-like system.
Manage Planet > Excavation Dig
You can dig for artifacts on systems. Artifacts have various effects like giving or reducing an empire’s resources. You can also now opt to build the capsule lab. The capsule lab allows you to fuse together a handful of artifacts, possibly giving you a more powerful artifact.
Manage Empire > Science > Artifacts
This feature lets you use artifacts you have found.
Missions: Act 1 > Mission 11
Background
As you stand upon the tallest tower in your fortress, you admire the wonderful view of the colony below as you watch the white star sends its ray over the surface of this planet. Soon, your mind wanders back to the events that led you to this remote area in the universe. You have no idea as to your origin, not that it matters to a simple life form like you any way. However, you cannot begin to fathom as to why your empire is attacked with such a large force. You have neither bothered the Aspha Miners nor the Guardians before. And you only attacked some Terran empires for the sake of getting new hosts. Only one possible reason that stand out in your mind; the Terran must have created you for war but somehow, they lost control of you. Soon, you begin to take over their bodies. They fear that you will become too powerful and thus, they banded together with other races to exterminate you. Slamming your fist on the balcony, you swear that one day you will take vengeance for your all friends who sacrificed their lives for you.
You are like a storm when you go into the council room. Your ministers do not dare to question you when you order them to increase the population. You have finally given way to impatience and you want to build your forces up as fast as possible. You want to have an army larger than the last. You plan has finally begun.
Objective
Have 2,000 population
Mission 11 : Plan for revenge
With the support of the populace behind you, you can start to expand your military force. The increase in the population enables you to have a bigger army and a bigger fleet to defend your empire. Soon, the world shall tremble before the might of the Viral. Your enemies will cower in fear before you. Then, you will have your revenge.
New feature available !
Science > Projects
The Projects command allows you to perform specific tasks or grants you specific bonuses. As your empire level increases, your empire can build, and use progressively more powerful projects. To increase your empire level you will need to gain more population and/or Vassals. To learn how to gain more Vassals, go to
Diplomacy > Vassal
Missions : Act 2
Standing upon your favorite spot on the highest tower, you survey your nation below. No longer a budding empire, it is now strong enough to stand on its own. You observe as your people go about their work. They are unaware that their ruler is watching them. They seem to live in a world of their own, slowing consuming the life out of their hosts. When one's host is about to die, he will jump to a new host, bringing the memories and knowledge from the previous host with it. Thus, the cycle will begin anew. As a Viral, you practically live forever as you jump from host to host until there are no more hosts available.
You had a nation like this once. Back then, your empire spanned tens of thousands of planets. You can see the big battleships flying high ahead, patrolling the skies. However, all that you had known was destroyed overnight. The images of the invasion are still vivid on your mind. You watched as your ships were shot down one by one and the appearance of the larger fleet forced you to flee. You remember yourself feeling helpless as your best friend, General Spike sacrificed himself so that you may escape the carnage. Your ship was shot as you escape but somehow you survived and now, in this remote section in the universe, you plan your revenge. You vow to avenge your friends who are killed in the attack. You swear that you will not rest until your enemies are destroyed.
Missions: Act 2 > Mission 1
Background
You are proud to see your empire growing steadily. Learning from the past, you take care to place more emphasis in your security so that it is at par with the size of your empire. You do not wish for history to repeat itself due to the same mistakes. During the meeting with your fellow ministers, General Rivul reports that there is an increase in military activities in the outer system of your empire. While they are not alarming, there are sightings of more advanced ships used during some of the fights. In a particular engagement, your forces win only by sheer numbers. General Rivul proposes to speed up the research on some blueprints of the battleships so that the new ships can be constructed as soon as possible. You agree with his plan.
Objective
Research Cyril Class Ships
Mission 1 : Advance ships
When the blueprints for the ships are out, you can see General Rivul brighten visibly. He is really dedicated in defending your empire. With the additional of new ships, you hope that he will be able to lead your fleet more efficiently.
A team of workers found a hidden store containing 5000 Strafez Organism.
You received +5000 Strafez Organism.
Missions: Act 2 > Mission 2
Background
Pleased with the achievement of your ministers, you proceed with the first step of your own plan. You need to gather intelligence on whoever it was involved in the attack of your previous empire. You dispatch a team of specially-trained personnel to complete this mission and you order them to determine their strength if possible. The leader of the team, Captain Connell salutes you before they leave on a few special scouts which are light and travel fast. You have faith on them for they are the elite in your army and you have trained them until they are able hide their Viral nature. On casual observation, they can pass as a normal Terran civilian.
After you watch them leave, you return to your room. While you are going through the documents on your table, your engineers send a request that they need more materials for building for the recently researched ships.
Objective
Have 200,000 Red Crystal
Note: The Red Crystal will be used up after this mission
Mission 2 : Spying
Your people rejoice when they see the construction of the new ships. They now feel more secure. Your population's loyalty increases by +100 on all your systems!
Missions: Act 2 > Mission 3
Background
General Rivul invites you to view the new ships being constructed. These ships are definitely much better than your previous fighters. But you regret that their upkeep is also much higher.
General Rivul said, "A few of these new ships will be sufficient, my Lord. Soon, your enemy will cower in fear before your might. Then, we shall strike them down one by one and their empires shall be ours to rule."
You trust in his decision. He has shown himself as a superb tactician. Countless times in battles, his shrewd mind has turned the tide even when all the odds are against your forces. Shortly into his post, he has already won a major fight when your empire was being invaded. You smile when you see his excitement in the addition of these new ships. As a reward to his efforts, you personally order more of these battleships to be constructed.
Objective
Have 500,000 Rutile

Later, your Chief Minister, Phinehas approaches you.
"Sire, our infections have gone well and now many planets are occupied by our empire. With the expansion of your empire, there is also a need for more new ministers. However, we have encountered a small problem. We've discovered that some of the new applicants for these ministers posts are...less than ideal. It would certainly affect the morale and overall image of our government. Hence, I suggest that a Minister Training Facility project to be done so that the new ministers can be put into training and have those...less than ideal habits is removed."

While you watch you scouts going in one direction or another, you give the signal to the captain of your ship to go straight on. Finally, you come to a planet which is bigger than the rest. You ask the captain to give the command to land on the planet. It is a barren planet, devoid of any vegetation. Even as you go down to meet the aliens below, you are still puzzled as to why anyone would live in a place like this. Nevertheless, where there is a host, there you will go. The environment of the planet bothers you very little as you have learned to adapt to any condition.
As the leader of this sorry-looking colony approaches you, you go forward to embrace him. Within seconds his mind is under your control. While your old host drops down on the floor, you give the signal to your soldiers to capture the rest of the people. Slowly, you absorb the knowledge from your new host. Soon, you learn that this is an excavation site. These people are here to dig up a submerged ruin, trying to find valuable artifacts. When you venture to view this ruin, you can see there are remnants of some artifacts buried. There are also some skulls lying about. "My Lord, Phinehas has informed me of your state of mind. It seems that Terran emotions have once again troubled you. I'd like to invite you, my lord, to board another new ship that your scientists that have recently decoded from the blueprints. I'll personally lead the fleet. I'm sure my lord will no longer be troubled by this Terran mind once aboard."
Seeing the wisdom of the suggestion, you agree. Going away from your small suite might help to improve your mood. As you board the gigantic ship, you admire the construction and the technology involved. It looks a lot like your old warships that you once owned, but this is of better built and has more advanced weaponry. Once aboard, General Rivul sets the path to the outer system. Along the way, you and General Rivul chat like old friends. Once more you can see the image of your old friend in him. Suddenly, an alarm rings. Both of you rush into the cockpit to check out the matter.
A scout reports, "Sir, there is a ship detected coming this way very fast. The nature of the ship cannot be determined."
When the ship comes into view, you recognize it instantly; it is one of your spy's ships! To your horror, the ship is in very bad condition. She has tried to take another host for the Captain to jump over to, but there seems to be no response from the viral itself. She says with regret that the viral itself is unconscious due to the extreme pain the host experienced. To have another viral jump into the body now would put both the viral's life in jeopardy. Anger is clearly shown on your face.
Deep inside, you feel helpless. Much as you would like to discover what happened to Captain Connell and his team and what they managed to discover, you find that you cannot do anything. You hate situations like this. You hate these kinds of feelings even more. It makes you weak and vulnerable. You torture the mind of your host to the brink of madness before you jump to another three, rendering all of them mad. In anger, you consume their brain cells. You slowly destroy them to release your anger. Finally when your anger subsides, you occupy another host and emerge from the prison. Your medical advisor approaches you. She has a plan.

Then, we went into hiding. At last, we...have no choice but to...infiltrate their command center. We managed to escape with some relevant documents but we were discovered. We were pursued all the way back. The others...they...I'm the only one left," he broke down and cry.
You understand his feelings. However, you know that there is nothing that you can do to ease his pain. You leave him on his own. You have your own trouble. It is unexpected that your hyperdrive jump has carried you so far. It makes sense because you are certain your enemies know you have fled, but there is no sign of them pursing you after all these years. From the reports, he has just returned from patrol a few hours earlier. He has not even rested and now he offers to go with you. Feeling proud that you have such loyal officers, you agree. Both of you board the flagship and set out to the excavation site.
You look in horror when you reach your destination. Alien ships are attacking the planet! Without wasting a moment, General Rivul assumes his role and directs the orders. Shortly, the alien ships are retreating. Seeing the worry on your face, he gives the orders to land. Upon reaching the site, carnage meets your eyes. There are dead bodies everywhere. The mobile facilities used by the excavation team are but destroyed. General Rivul commands the soldiers to go and search the perimeter.

The more you think, the more you are anxious to learn what your researchers discovered. Just as you are leaving the room, you notice one of the researchers is stirring. Immediately, you call for the doctors. The researcher has regained conscious. As if by magic, a stream of doctor and nurses appear and tend to the patient. After that, the doctor informs you that he is fine, but he cannot stay up too long.
The researcher stammers as you approach, "My Lord...please...please for...give your ser...ser...vant. I...I have failed...failed to save...the...the doc...documents."
You stop him. You may be hard sometimes, but you are not a tyrant. You tell him to rest and when the other researchers have recovered, may be by then they can come up with a report. They try to explain what they managed to discover from the artifacts before they are destroyed. Unfortunately, all of them try to speak at the same time, resulting in much confusion. Finally, you manage to shut them up when you shout at them to be quiet. You order them to write out their reports and send them in to you for review.

You are amazed at the speed your researchers manage to come up with the report. According to the report, the researchers managed to decipher part of the codes of one of the artifacts. It bears the records of Guardian-Marauder war. Though unclear, they suspect the artifact bears the description of how the attack on the Guardian's was planned and executed by the Marauders. Among the other artifacts, there are some which appeared to be blueprints of some kind. Before they manage to decode them, all the artifacts and blueprints were destroyed in the attack. Based on these findings, the researchers conclude that the ruin is a military base for the Marauder ages ago.
Now you realize the total loss you suffered in the attack. Not only are your facilities destroyed, the blueprints which would have allowed you to construct Marauder ships are also destroyed. You transmit the order to the shipyard to start the production of the new ships immediately. The time for the attack is near.

The Marauders is a really strong race, you decide. It is definitely more powerful than Terran. And the strength is now yours. You can also feel the knowledge from the Marauder slowly flowing into your mind.
When you compare the discovery of the artifacts and the knowledge from the Marauders, you discover that the Marauder is on the verge of destroying the Guardians. As a last resort, the Guardians activated an untested artifact. The Marauders are hence sent to a far away galaxy and mutated into the being they are now. Now, after ages in exile, they have finally made their way back. However, there is something that thrilled you as the knowledge from the Marauder flows through your mind. Soon, your commanders are coming in with their reports. According to one of the more interesting reports, your soldiers discovered a rather large construction site on one of the outer planets.
At once, you set out to the site. When the half-finished construction is in view, you are very impressed. You have never seen such a large and impressive structure before. What if someone set up all of these to lure you back to your enemy so that they can put an end to you once and for all? From the reports by Connell, it is likely that the Terrans have developed a technology to detect our presence. This is too dangerous. Please stop…”
You slap him. Angrily, you tell him that you know what you are doing and he should not worry himself if he disagrees. After he leaves, remorse fills you for slapping your own best friend. Lieutenant Connell gives you the coordinates of a remote area near the Guardian base. He hides there once while trying to escape from the pursuers. There, you dispatch a team of scouts to search for a suitable staging base. The area has to be hidden and preferably out of sight of nearby empires.
Once a suitable place is found, a few transport ships are sent to unload those responsible to build the base there. There is so much excitement within your empire. Even Chief Minister Phinehas is enthusiastic. Before anything else is done, General Rivul recommends securing the base.

Slowly, your ships start traveling through the warp gate. Your forces will be assembling at the secret base before moving out. Scouts are sent to map out a route to your enemies.
Your workers at the staging base discover a surplus of Composite.

"My lord, you know that it is too late. By the time the reinforcement is ready, the fight would be already over. The enemy might even be moving towards our staging base now. I understand, my lord. General Rivul is important to us too. Losing him is a blow to us. But we cannot bear to lose you!"
You slump down to the floor. You have lost the two friends you care about to the same enemy; first General Spike and now General Rivul. After the tears subside, you accept that Phinehas is right. Suddenly, an officer comes running. He reports that the enemy ships are sighted near the warp gate site. There is no hope of sending reinforcements through it now. There is no way the Guardians can learn about our movements. But from the ambush…it is as if the Guardian participates in our meetings itself. We are only saved by a small Marauder raiding fleet."

Eons ago, before the Terran has achieved space travel, the universe is united under one government called the Republic. The universe is at peace. Unfortunately, the Kalzul appeared in the system mysteriously one day. They started attacking the Republic for unknown reasons. After a long and bloody war, the Republic made a final stand. In the end, both forces were almost destroyed.
Based on the reports, the Republic was a very strong empire for they encompassed thousands of nations. Kalzul, on the other hand, was only one race but they were able to eradicate this empire single-handedly. It is clearly shown that the Kalzul was a mighty race.
